Savoury strudel with cooked ham and mushrooms

2 packs of Negroni cooked ham |
600 ml milk |
275 g plain flour |
4 eggs |
A pinch of salt |
500 g smoked scamorza cheese |
40 g butter |
The Recipe:
- Gently fry a garlic clove in a frying pan with a little extra virgin olive oil.
- Now add the frozen mushrooms to the pan and cook them, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- In the meantime finely slice the smoked scamorza cheese.
- When the mushrooms are ready set them aside to cool.
- Open the roll of puff pastry and place it on an oven tray.
- At this point, you can assemble your savoury strudel: arrange the slices of Gran Cotto 100% italiano Negroni on top of the puff pastry sheet.
- Add a layer of smoked scamorza slices. Cover the layer of scamorza cheese with the mushrooms and roll up the strudel, sealing it well at the edges.
- Make slits on the surface of the strudel using a sharp knife and brush it with a little milk.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 200° for 25 minutes, lowering the temperature to 180° after the first 15 minutes.
- When the savoury strudel is golden brown, remove it from the oven and serve when cool.
